Unigo Privacy Policy

Unigo (“the App”) is the official student companion app of Urganch Ranch Texnologiya Universiteti (“the University”, “we”). This policy explains what information the App handles and why.

Who this app is for

Unigo is intended for enrolled students of the University. You sign in with your university identity (RanchID / HEMIS credentials). The App shows you your own academic information.

Information we process

After you sign in, the App requests and displays data that already belongs to you in the University’s student information system (HEMIS). This may include:

• Identity: full name, student ID / HEMIS ID, PINFL, and profile photo.
• Contact details: phone number and email address on file with the University.
• Academic records: class schedule, attendance, grades and GPA, curriculum, decrees, contract and payment information, dormitory status, and university documents (transcripts, reference letters, etc.).
• Authentication data: a session token used to keep you signed in.

How we use it

This information is used solely to display your own university records to you inside the App and to keep you signed in. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

How data is stored and transmitted

Data is retrieved on demand from the University’s backend (unigo.ranch.university) over encrypted HTTPS connections and shown in the App. A sign-in token and lightweight preferences (such as your chosen language and theme) are stored on your device. Documents you choose to download are saved to your device at your request.

Sharing

Your data originates from and stays within the University’s own systems (RanchID identity service and the HEMIS student information system). It is not shared with third parties except the service providers that operate this University infrastructure, and where required by law.

Data retention

The App itself does not maintain a separate long-term copy of your academic data; it displays live data from the University system. Session tokens and on-device preferences remain until you sign out or uninstall the App.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time to remove the session from your device, and uninstalling the App removes locally stored data. Requests to access or correct the underlying university records are handled by the University registrar’s office.

Children

The App is directed at enrolled university students and is not intended for children under 13.
